Confusion; Trust; Reliability; Truth; How do I know the Bible is the true divine word of God?
DEVOTION:
Dear God, even though I have faith that You are with me, how do I know that the Bible also can be a source of comfort as I battle with my cancer? After all, there is wide spread differences on the reliability and truthfulness of the Bible amongst event the most devout Christians. I am also comforted to know that no other book has been published more than the Bible. No other book, while being attacked or criticized since inception, has survived and flourished as the Bible. As a result, I know I can go to Jesus through the Bible. Help me to see the logical connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Help me to realize that God’s plan has been articulated through His servants, prophets and disciples. Let me use the Bible as my foundation for study and prayer. So that, I know there are words of comfort, hope and love during this tough time with cancer!
